Cooking good food for you and your loved ones is a "green" keeps you from sitting in all that holiday traffic! Enjoy this easy recipe!

Breakfast Casserole

Every Christmas eve, my mom would prepare this—it is easy because it needs to sit in the refrigerator overnight, and you can bake it in the morning for a wonderful breakfast without having to do too much work!

16 slices of bread, cubed
½ pound (8 oz.) grated Cheddar cheese
2 cups milk
6 eggs, beaten well
½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Salt & pepper to taste
1 stick of melted butter

May add cubed ham or sausage links if you desire.

Grease 9x13 inch casserole pan. Add alternately layers of bread and cheese, beginning with bread and ending with cheese. Mix the eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings together in a separate bowl. Pour egg mixture over the layers of bread & cheese. Drizzle melted butter evenly over all. Refrigerate overnight. Bake in a pan of water 45-55 minutes until golden on top at 350˚F.
